James  S. Manz

James S. Manz, 80, of Janesville died Friday, July 31, 2015 at Agrace Center for Hospice and Palliative Care. He was born in Janesville on November 25, 1934, the son of Roy and Eunice (Smith) Manz. He graduated from Janesville High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. James was formerly employed by General Motors, A T & T and retired from the custodial staff at Blackhawk Technical College. He was a member of New Life Assembly of God.
Jim Manz is survived by his wife, Doris J. Manz whom he married October 28, 2006, his son, Michael (Christine) Manz of Edmond, WA, 2 grandson, Nicholas and Jason Manz, 2 sisters, Carol Bamert and Jan Roehl, an aunt, Rose Brown, his sister-in-law, Julie Manz, 5 stepsons, 2 step-daughters, numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, several nieces and a nephew. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Manz who died in April of this year.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 2015 at New Life Assembly of God, 2416 North Wright Road, Janesville with Rev. Michael Jackson officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621. Visitation will be at the Church on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. The family is being assisted by Henke-Clarson Funeral Home.
